A Message From the Founder

Saunelle was born out of a frustration that shouldn't exist — the world's oldest wellness ritual had no accessories worth owning. We didn't set out to build a brand. We set out to make a single hat we'd actually wear. From that, the mission to elevate the sauna ritual was born.

Why does Saunelle exist?

To make a sauna hat that protects as well as felt, and looks like something you'd want to be seen in.

To bring real materials and thoughtful design to an accessory that hasn't changed in decades.

To give the sauna ritual the same intention people bring to the rest of their wellness.

Materials and Testing

We use Australian merino wool sourced from certified suppliers and tested independently by three organizations:

 

The Australian Wool Testing Authority (AWTA) certifies the wool's origin and fibre quality. 

 

SGS tested the finished merino wool for heavy metals, phthalates, and flame retardants under EU RoHS directive. Every substance: not detected.

 

TÜV verified the dyes under EU REACH regulation for AZO colorant safety. No banned substances found.

 

We publish these results because we think you should know what's going against your skin in a 90-degree room.
